Books first, commerce second

The public site leads with books, authors, genres, and editorial notes. A custom full-site editing theme gives the catalogue its own typographic voice while WordPress keeps the content manageable.

Legacy records move with evidence

The companion plugin maps each legacy book to one WooCommerce product and records stable IDs and SHA-256 fingerprints. Repeat runs reject duplicate mappings, slug collisions, stale source records, and target drift.

Commercial fields stay closed until approved

Migrated editions remain draft, hidden, out of stock, and unpurchasable until real identifiers, prices, stock, formats, and launch data are reviewed. The public catalogue can develop without inventing sales readiness.
